Henke-Sass, Wolf (HSW) is the world's leading manufacturer of endoscopes. In addition to human medicine, HSW is also a driver of innovation in veterinary equipment.
One of the latest innovations is a vaccination device for pigs that does not require a needle: the EPIG injects inoculant instead through a high-pressure technology patented by HSW.
The EPIG gathers selected data about the animal and the vaccination process, which are relevant for the pharmaceutical and animal industry. To use this data now, it must be made visible and usable in an app and cloud solution.
In close cooperation with HSW, tresmo has developed clear goals and use cases for an IoT solution. This made it possible to develop an app for iOS and Android in less than three months that was precisely tailored to specific needs.
The EPIG's data can now be conveniently and securely accessed via smartphone and directly evaluated. The collected metrics are also broken down in a specially created HSW cloud for further analysis.
But there is more: For the first time, firmware updates for all EPIG devices in the field can now be published simultaneously via the app. Together with the automatic error diagnosis via app and the instructions for immediate help, users receive immediate on-site assistance - anywhere in the world.
HSW always stood for technical excellence. Now also for a digital one.
Via cloud and app, farm managers are offered new possibilities for process optimization and services. This immediately creates added value.
But the transparency of data on worldwide vaccination processes is crucial. It will not only influence factors that directly contribute to animal welfare, but will also be relevant for new target groups in the future.
HSW is thus creating the foundation of a digital ecosystem for further applications, products and services.
